
Dr Jyoti Raina DO, FRCS, FRCOphth
Founder, Director, and Trustee
Dr Jyoti Raina is the founding Trustee of Serve2See. She is a consultant ophthalmologist, based in North London for the last 16 years. She trained in the North Thames region, which includes Moorfields Eye Hospital. She did her fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Cleveland clinic in Ohio, USA. Jyoti is a keen educator and has held posts of College Tutor with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Associate Professor with St George’s University Grenada, and at University College London.
She is pursuing research in paediatric genetic ocular conditions such as coloboma, and is working collaboratively with reputable institutions in London and around India.
She sees her motivation for founding Serve2See aptly reflected in a quotation by Etienne de Grellet:
“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
Her personal interests include, yoga, music, gardening, and travelling.

Dr Naveen Raina MD
Eye Camp Coordinator
Naveen is a psychiatrist and owner of Satyanand Hospital in Pune, India. He is the key coordinator who puts the team together for each eye camp, and provides logistical support at the location.
He supports Yoga education and Life Skills Coaching of children and adolescents, through the Research Institute affiliated to his hospital. Naveen is also a Certified Adolescent Life Coach.

Dr Rajul Chanchani MS
Eye Camp Volunteer, Ophthalmologist
Rajul is a specialist Ophthalmologist, working in the independent sector in New Delhi. He is an accomplished cataract surgeon.
Rajul has been involved in all eye camps since 2012, and provided all the local clinical knowledge about practices, procedures, suitable equipment and establishing an inventory of items needed for running the service. He holds the annual records for seeing the most patients at each eye camp.

Dr Ashish Chauhan BAMS
Volunteer, Head of Dispensing
Ashish is an Ayurvedic Practitioner based in Raipur in Chhattisgarh, India. He specializes in the techniques of Nadi Pareeksha, Marma Chikitsa, Panchkarma Chikitsa and Pranic Healing.
Ashish runs the pharmacy at the eye camps. In addition to setting up procedures for safe dispensation of medicines, he procures and funds all medications and eye drops.
He believes in selfless service, and brings in more volunteers every year who share his enthusiasm and spirit of care and devotion to the needy.

Dr. Vaishali Lodhia MBBS, IBSc, MSc
Eye Camp Volunteer, trainee Ophthalmologist
Vaishali is a trainee ophthalmologist in the Kent Surrey and Sussex region in UK currently working in East Surrey Hospital.
She was born in Kenya, and throughout her career has had the opportunity to work in various community programmes including eye camps. Since then she has been passionate about helping to improve eye health in developing countries which is why she joined the Serve2See team as a trustee.
Vaishali has an intercalated medical degree with International Health from University College of London and a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine during which she worked on http://www.peekvision.org/ with other like-minded colleagues looking to resolve the challenges of access to eye care through digital innovation.

Arsha Raina MA(Cantab) MSc
Trustee and Treasurer; Eye Camp Volunteer
Arsha has volunteered at the annual eye camps since the first in 2012, helping with administrative considerations such as organising patient notes, managing inventory, and documenting treatment outcomes. She worked with medical staff and volunteers to share best practice and effective processes. She has refined these based on practical feedback, to maintain high care standards as the camps have grown.
Arsha has an MSC in Management from the London School of Economics. She works in the Civil Service.

Ravi Daswani, Entrepreneur
Eye Camp and Serve2See Volunteer
Ravi is a Serve2See trustee and non-medical volunteer who helps fill in the gaps where needed at the eye camps.
Ravi worked in sales for Google and Facebook and then quit his job to start his own company. Now he is a co-founder of Crystalusion Limited, a nanotechnology company manufacturing innovative and advanced consumer protection solutions. Ravi also sits on the board of HIT Labs Inc. a Finnish company focusing on personal and professional development combining elements from the science of psychology and social interactions to help people discover their potential.
He is a true believer in giving back and feels fortunate to be part of the Serve2See team.

Dr Rajesh Rajan MS
Eye Camp Volunteer, Ophthalmologist
Rajesh is a specialist Ophthalmologist based in Mungher in Bihar, India. He runs the Baba Baidyanath Eye Hospital at Tarapur , where he offers outpatient and surgical care to the local population.
He volunteered at the 2015 eye camp, and also operated on a batch of patients in Feb 2016, all free of cost to the patients.
